Thank YOU for all the tremendous support and overwhelming response that we have received thus far for the recently ended drama series PINGGIRAN RAMADAN..I was given the opportunity to be part of this brilliant drama, which touched so many hearts and made so many viewers tear endlessly..in fact, we were all so happy to see so many people crying watching the show, which meant WE succeeded!!

I would like to say a million thanx to Abg Salleh n Abg Mohideen from Media Reel firstly for having faith in my abilities n letting me work with so many fantastic actors n actresses..Thanx to Kak SeriWahyuni Jaes, the producer n scriptwriter, one of the main people behind the success of the show..Abg Khairudin Samsudin, the director whom i've had the privilege to work with again and who taught me so much..my fellow cast members- JA Halim, Aminah Ahmad, Sani Hussin, Rozita Hussin, Syed Azmir, Syasya Yaakob, Zamberi Patah n Siti Hajar..Thank u for being such a great bunch to work with..I've learnt so much from each n everyone of u..to d camera crew headed by Abg Halim, makeup team headed by Kak Noura n also Mansura n Azhar..Thank you all for a wonderful experience!!!..

I was involved in Mediacorp's Ethnic Trade Presentation show n i performed alongside Hyrul Anuar. The event was held on 20th May 2009 at Fairmont Hotel..We had to sing Anugerah 2007's theme song, Tiada Batas n also Hari Ini Hari Raya for d finale..Above is a short video of our performance of the Raya song..Imagine singing a Raya song way before Hari Raya season even started!!

A day before that, I had two photoshoots to go to. I was at Manja magazine's office first for a photoshoot n an interview. I will be featured in the Personality column of Manja's July edition that will be out in stores in a month's time..So kip a lookout for that!

After that shoot, I had to rush to MediacorpTV 12's Bestway Building for a photoshoot wif the judges of Anugerah 2009 n also my fellow co-host, Fiza O..Had lotsa fun, plus Fiza n Azni introduced me to Wondergirl's Nobody on YouTube..I had no clue who they were before dis coz I'm not an avid follower of the K-Pop industry..But now i noe who they are..Nobody Nobody But You,clap,clap,clap,clap..haha

Izinkan Updates

Just a quick update before i stepped out for another rehearsal for the ethnics trade presentation..

Just heard the Ria charts and sadly Izinkan was out after 13weeks in the charts.. Quite bummed but nonetheless thanx to all who have been requesting for the song..
On a happier note, Izinkan was mentioned in the Malaysia's Berita Minggu, Muzika section about the new compilation album Kisah Cinta which features 16 love songs from 15 male singers.

Unfortunately, this album which is distributed by Universal Music Malaysia is only available in Malaysia for the time being, hopefully the album will be sold in Singapore soon..

To my Malaysian readers, do grab a copy of the album available now in stores and Singaporeans, if you're visiting our neighbouring country anytime soon, don't forget to drop by and get the album.. Even I don't have the copy yet. hehehe.

/Muka Depan/Muzika Koleksi hebat Talentime, Kisah cinta

SAMBUTAN dari segi kutipan filem ini (Talentime) memang tidak sepadan dengan nukilan dan cetusan yang sarat kritikan sosial serta tidak lari jauh dari kehidupan sehari-hari kita sebagai anak Malaysia yang merdeka. Mungkin, masih belum masa untuk Yasmin Ahmad menuai hasilnya lagi.

Apapun, pemilihan lagu yang dimuatkan ke dalam Original Motion Picture Soundtrack atau album runut bunyi Talentime ternyata menyeimbangkan keperluan visual, bunyi, lakon layar dan latar emosi keseluruhan filem ini.

Vokal Atilia digunakan untuk menggambarkan bakat yang dimiliki Melur (Pamela Chong), Aizat dan Pete Teo pula menyokong Mohd Syafie Naswip sebagai Hafiz. Lagu yang cukup upbeat, Just One Boy yang dilagukan Hafiz ketika sesi uji bakat di sekolahnya dicipta oleh Pete Teo sementara lirik pula oleh Yasmin Ahmad dan Pete Teo.

Album ini turut memuatkan lagu Angle ciptaan sepenuhnya Pete Teo; I Go (Pete Teo); Pergi (versi Melayu I Go) ciptaan Pete Teo, lirik oleh Amran Omar dan Pete Teo; Kasih Tak Kembali ciptaan sepenuhnya Ahmad Hashim; Itulah Dirimu (Pete Teo/Amran Omar dan Pete Teo) dan Angel (Versi Melayu) lirik oleh Atilia dan Pete Teo.

Talentime jadi lebih dramatik apabila diselitkan dua lagu Hindi Ganesh’s Theme dan Going Home nyanyian Hardev Kaur.

Dari album runut bunyi, beralih pula kepada album kompilasi diberi nama Kisah Cintaku. Menariknya album yang memuatkan 16 lagu kisah cinta ini dinyanyikan juga oleh 15 penyanyi lelaki kategori generasi pelapis.

Tirai trek disingkap dengan menampilkan bakat baru yang tidak kurang hebatnya Fauzie Laily yang mendendangkan lagu baru berjudul Izinkan. Penyanyi Singapura yang mencuba bakat seninya di sini mempertaruhkan lagu ciptaan sepenuhnya Azli Mohamed. Demikian antara album yang baru saja menjenguk pasaran edaran Universal Music Malaysia. Album Kisah Cintaku boleh didapati dengan harga RM29.90 manakala Talentime - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack RM26.90.

I have a busy, busy weekend...20th May i'll be involved in Mediacorp's Ethnic Trade Presentation Show n this weekend i'll be involved in the rehearsals..This will be my second time singing for this event, the first time was in 2005 along with d rest of d Anugerah 2005 finalists..Hope this year's gonna be as fun as d first one..=)

The video above was taken by me once we reached the resort where we were supposed to perform for E-Ventions Mother's Day Show in Port Dickson..It was a tiring but fun trip..Met some familiar faces on the 4 buses consisting of pakciks,makciks,abangs,kakaks n also kids..

The highlights for me has to be meeting up wif Saiful Apek for d first time,d tour guide dat i called "walking textbook"(she told us d history of Johor n Malacca in d bus complete wif d dates n names!!),d show wif Hyrul n Maiya,new frens we made in Pojie n Wawa n also d fun times wif all d people involved.

Thanx to Dean n Kak Sabariah Hirma for taking care of us wen we're der n also Abg Shah Ibrahim n d staff of E-Ventions for dis second trip to P.D..Next time go Europe bring me along again k..=)

Anugerah Auditions 09/05/09

Our dear fauzie was off this weekend to Port Dickson so he sent me to East point mall to check out and snoop around for the 2nd round of Anugerah.

The competition started in the morning but I only reached around 12pm when the sun was directly over my head.
I kinda got a suprise, not of the good kind, when i stepped inside the mall.

For those who came last week for the first round of Anugerah, you will notice that the space
in front of the stage was quite spacious.. and audiences can get a good clear view of the stage and also of the contestants.
But for this round, they cut the space into half, and the other half were for some vendors who was selling health supplements and such.
Security was put in place so that if you weren't buying, you can't go beyond the point.
That was at least acceptable as people can stand outside the perimeter to watch.

As the afternoon droned on, as the contestants belted out their song choices in their bid to be one the top 50, the viewing space also got smaller and smaller, finally closing off the audiences from the stage view.
The people in charge sort of deliberately put their standing poster in front of the barrier so that people were forced to move away and not crowd their space.

And they kept putting more and more until the audience were completely cut off.
I don't really get it why they have to have the sale right there when they know that eastpoint is going to be packed with people.
*shakes head*

I can tell you, there were a few gungho pakciks and makciks who looked like they can start a fight.
haha.

takpelahh, sabar aje laaarr.

Off to the 2nd floor where it was just as packed. Snapped a few pics here and there.

Atmosphere was good and happening, cheers were given to the contestants who managed to pull of their songs with their tarik's and dance steps.

Oh yeaa, i digressed.
Supposed to talk about contestants right?
Okay, i took a couple of photos and videos of those who caught my attention.

As per ms manager, the most sung song was definitely Mungkir bahagia and quite a few fazli zainal's, didicazli's and also mawi's were also crooned.
Some of them were realllly good, the kind that would send goosebumps up your spine.
The ladies were very fond of dato' siti's songs and also takdir cinta.

However, some of the voices were very whispery, they got drowned out by the music. That definitely didn't get the thumbs-up from the judges from what I hear.
One female contestant, wearing a simple black dress, got up the stage with much confidence and belted out Gemilang - Jaclyn Victor and wooooweeee, she brought the house down.

I loved her.
Like I said, some were reallly good, some were whispery, some forgot the lyrics which I think is a big no-no at this point of the competition.

One by one, they went on stage and sang to keep their dreams alive.
Eventually, the last contestants sang at 9.10pm. Results were supposed to be at 7.30pm originally.

But I think it went overrun simply because some of the contestants had to start over due to technical faults, Some cd's cant be played and stuffs, it took quite a bit of time.

Finally Fiza O and KC went on stage to arrange the contestants into rows.
Hmmmm,
this one took another additional 1.15hrs. Not saying that it was bad organisation. They were calling the contestants in batches and then arranging them in rows.
264 contestants in rows in the little space that they have, doesn't sound easy right?

They had to constantly ask the audience to make way for the contestants.
Yes, all that took 1.15hrs.

By the time, it was 10.30pm, lights were switching off one by one.
Pakciks, makciks were getting more impatient and shouting at the poor hosts.
"results maner nii..", "tak tahu ke kiter tinggal jauh.."
relax laar cik.. taxi kan ader.. :P

Finally Eddie Ali came out with the results at about 10.40pm.

50 contestants, 25 female and 25 males out the originally 264 shortlisted ones were chosen to continue the next day.
It was quite sad to see few good ones getting booted out, but oh well, better luck next year!
A few familiar faces were in the top 50. Some had joined the previous Anugerah(s) and were probably looking for more luck in going further this year.

Fauzie Laily to Port Dickson for the second time..

Hey ya peepz...

Currently, i won't be able to log in to the internet much coz my modem at home is giving me problems..Will try to get it fixed soon tho...

In the meantime, I will be heading off to Port Dickson this coming weekend, 9-10 May 2009, for a Mother's Day show along wif the likes of Hyrul Anuar, Maiya Rahman and SAIFUL APEK. Thanx to E-Ventions travel n my management for this opportunity..=)

This will be my second trip to P.D n i hope this time will be a more fun n interesting trip...The last time was when i went wif d other 3 finalists of Anugerah 2005 back in 2006!..How time flies..

So yup. i'll be back next week and when I come back, I really hope to see "Izinkan" rise back up d charts...coz dis previous week, d song has dropped back to no. 18 n dat got me down a wee bit..

Show me ur love by requesting for "Izinkan" ok guys...

I'm sooooo sorry to inform you guys that my slot for tonight's Personality Zoom have been postponed.
I haven't get the exact date as to when it will be postponed to but i will definitely update the date when i get it okay? =)

Hey lovely readers...as u all might already know...I will be hosting Anugerah once again dis year..My co-host will be Fiza O, from Ria 89 7FM, n both of us are so looking forward to d start of d competition...Thanx alot to my management, AMU,Suria n Eaglevision for having faith in me to be d host once again!..Will give my best n learn from my mistakes as i go along..but what's definite is I'm gonna have fun...hope all u viewers will too!!

Hey ya...Since I had done a short review of this event in my blog, it will be gd if I share it wif you guys too wif a lil bit longer review.

Alritez, it's a Sun afternoon and as planned went to Fauzie's first showcase wif the fans of him @ MOMC.We reached on time...woohoo. And at tht point of time, Fauzie was being interviewed by the Suria's crew. Upon reaching, got ourselves a postcard and a poster of him. Nice one...I loike! The moment, the performance gonna start...it was raining outside. Yeah, but no worries,hujan itu Rahmat...! And it's a indoor event,so no prob wif tht.

It was kinda full house event...yeap, and as been knew tht, a color code for Fauzierettz was yellow. I could see many of his fans, frens and families were in yellow. But I got to say tht, sorry Fauzie, I'm not in yellow uh...coz I dun own a nice yellow top in my closet. Kinda weird, haha...will have 1 soon ok. But nevertheless I did try to find a top wif a lil bit of yellow strip on it. Lol...

Just when it all started...the atmosphere became hotter when Fauzie sang 'Inikah Cinta' as his first song. All the songs that he sang on tht day were great.

The bossa version of 'Selalu', the medley of 'Mahakarya Cinta' & 'Sampai Syurga', 'Lagu Kita' and 'Izinkan' were my favouritez. And yea not forgotten, the duet done by him and his bro,Faris Laily was awesome too. They sang 'Ordinary People'. And ya, I so recognized Faris, hehe...coz he's in RP too.

In between the performances, there were some interactive session too. There's a game tht involve everyone to take part and we need to simply answer the qns posed by Fauzie. Winners will get themselves some chocolates...There's when many funny moments happened...

1st Qns: In which yr, the Single 'Selalu' came out? Actually, I knew the ans, haha but shy arh. :P

2nd Qns: Which football team tht Fauzie don't like??? After someone ans it, there's when Fauzie himself said...not Liverpool but Liverfool. Haha...

3rd Qns: Since he's giving away an extra choco to the winner, it's lil bit tricky and cool qns...What's Mr Manager of Fauzie, Alex's real name??? Great laughter for tht...haha,and now many pple knew it. And all the way, Alex was being called by his real name.

Actually they gonna showed us the video clip of 'Izinkan' but there's a lil technical prob, and they continue wif the lucky draw. The prizes were not bad too especially the first prize one...received the big poster of him. And the lucky winner was Siti Hawa. Congrats!

After the performance ended, had a break for awhile and they then continued with the autograph and photograph session wif the man himself. Join the queue a lil bit late and so we were the last few.

And finally, the last words, I'm gonna say...for those who didn't able to turn up for it were so wasted coz I thought the tix is worth it. Yea, hopefully there's more similar event coming out in the future. But no matter wat, I'll wish that Fauzie will be more success in his singing career and other talents tht he had. I'm awaits for his album. Stay cheerful as always,FAUZIE!. :)

Fauzie was late! Cos it was raining and we were early! It felt weird cos I was not into much Malay music but I decided to go for the showcase because I thought it might be a good start to knowing more about Malay music.(Personal opinion, don't include hehe).

The overall ambience was just right. Fauzie started off with Inikah Cinta and I really liked that song because of the upbeat tempo and the joy from hearing it. He sang with his own style and it was really good.

He did a nice twist to Datuk Siti Nurhaliza's 'Aku Cinta Padamu' and proceeded with a 2 English songs- Sunday morning(Maroon 5) as far as I know only Adam Levine can carry off the song well but Fauzie did a wonderful twist to the song too!

He sang Ordinary People with his brother, Faris but oh boy they were extraordinary-two variations of vocals combined! But the highlight of the day was 'Izinkan' his latest single and it was superb! Job well done! Not only that Fauzie is humble and down-to-earth. A great personality from an up and coming local artiste!

I wasn't really a fan of any Malay artiste but you're the first! I wish you success all the way and keep living the dreams we are dreaming about! Insya'allah more Fauzie Laily showcases!! =)

What can i say about Fauzie//Closer?
One word. AWESOME!
You really done a great job on it fauzie. Guess what, for your 1st song, Sampai tak sempat nak ON camera to record because im busy ogling at you.. HAHA! You look great that day..
The highlight of the day was, when you sang "Ordinary People" With your brother, FL junior. LOL... Hey, he has that manly voice lah. R&B-ish Voice... haha.. Ok anywae, i enjoyed your duet with your brother. Its a good thing that your own sibling have the same interest as you so at least you guys can shared ideas together eh.. Fuhhh! Best kan gitu?? hehe!

Ok next song. "I Love You" by Siti Nurhaliza. To tell you the truth, if someone else sings Siti Nurhaliza songs, i don't really like it. You know, some of them really wants to follow her style of singing. Even if they said they sang it with their own style. Im a big fan of Siti Nurhaliza you see. So im abit particular about it. haha.. But as for you, NO! You really do it with your own style and hey, I LOVE it.. If only i were Aunty Kamariah that were with you on stage kn.. Pengsan Agaknya aku kat situ.. LOL!

Mahakarya/Sampai Syurga Medley. MY FAVAURITE!! Awesome, Dude. hehe! You bring out the song well and im sure all faizal tahir fans will agree with me.. Yet again, you do it with your own style, Your Fauzie Laily style.. hehe!

Selalu- The new melody very nice. I always been a fan of "Selalu". I still listen to it now and then. haha.. Very Classic la the song. The song that make you well known to us. *Peace*. And of course, i miss hearing you singing that song. And yet again, AWESOME dude! Lu gerek Lah...

Lagu Kita By Aizat- Remember during your bdae bash, you sang snippets of this song, guess what, that day was actually my first time listening to Lagu kita.. haha.. Teruk eh? And of course, I got hooked by it. And i asked Sv to bluetooth the song to my phone that night itself.. That is why im overly excited the moment you said your next song is going be Lagu Kita.. haha! Aizat voice is NICE, but i still prefer your version. Just like lagu "Berserah". I get hooked by it only after Hady Mirza sang it during Asian Idol.. Haha.. Mcm gini nye orang pon ade ke?? hahaha! =)))

Izinkan- The much waited single. "Selalu" still my favourite though but no doubt "Izinkan" really suits you. You bring it well and hey, Fauzierettz LOVE it so much.. They been requesting it on radio. =)))

Last but not least, I just want to say that i really enjoy myself that day. The way you interact with us really made our day. And i want an encore can? The next time, i want FL junior and Tengku Adil in your Showcase as a guest artistes eh?? hahahaha! =)))

I know my review is not that good. But i hope that would be enough.

And on Saturday,11th of April 2009, do come down for d studio recording of 70an Gerek at Medicorp Studio 1....Why?...Coz I was chosen as a guest performer n I will be singing a duet wif popular 70's singer, Effa Rizan..How Exciting!!!!...My mum said she was very pretty in d 70's wif her famed mole on her cheek so it will be an interesting one for me..Have always enjoyed performing alongside seasoned veterans as I noe I'll be learning alot from them..an honour for me...And d bonus is, Fazura is one of d hosts..am a fan so wanna take picture lahhhh...Muahahahaha...=)

It's been 2 days since i turned 24 n what a week i have had!

On the eve of my birthday, 19th of March 2009, i was given a surprise celebration at Sedap Corner in Simpang Bedok where all the lovely fans(decked in YELLOW)
and also my loved ones came to celebrate it with me. I was tricked into thinking that d event I was attending was actually a Kelentang Kelentung wrap party. I didn't have a clue dat everything was pre-planned almost a month before my birthday n since I was already in my lazy-slack-birthday mode, u can imagine how much of a drag it was for me to actualli attend the "wrap-party" in the first place. But hey, NO REGRETS now...=)

I wanna give a BIG SHOUTOUT to Wani, Wana and Noorool for planning all dis...n not forgetting Khai too...all of u have put in so much effort in making my 24th a blast!
Thank u so so very much much from d bottom of my heart.....

N also not to forget the other fans who came n contributed to that special day...

Pesta Perdana 10 has passed n as everyone knows, I didn't win the Most Popular Male Personality Award..N since den der has been so many of you who gave me consoling words n words of encouragement n such...I would like to thank all of u for ur care n concern but here i would like to reassure u all dat I am totally fine in not winning..=)

Actually, truth to be told, i knew my chances of winning are very very low n of course I didn't expect to win at all. As we all know, I was the youngest nominee n I was up against the likes of much much more experienced n senior artistes, Aaron Aziz,Najib Ali, Suzairhe Sumari n the winner, Suhaimi Yusoff. These are the people dat i look up to in the industry n i always have them as my references in my journey of improving myself as an all-round performer. When i was first told dat i was nominated, i actually laughed because i didn't expect it at all.

But on the other hand, I also felt happy n honoured to be listed as a nominee. Think of it dis way, I started off as a backup singer in 2004, became a successful contestant in Anugerah 2005 n began my dream to become a singer, won Best Newcomer in Acting Award in 2007, was chosen to become a host in known programmes such as Anugerah,Pesta Pesta Pesta n Sinar Lebaran 2008 n dis year 2009, I released my latest single under Universal Music Malaysia n was nominated as the Most Popular Male Personality in Pesta Perdana...That itself tells a story of its own don't u tink??..It's been almost 6 years n i have went through quite alot of experiences as an artiste..I am very very grateful for all d opprtunities dat have been given to me.I am lucky to be doing wat i love to do and I won't want to stop anytime soon...To me der is still a long journey ahead of me and der is still so much to achieve yet..Everything dat has happened to me i count as a blessing.My journey has only actually juz begun..........
